10 Best WWE Champions, Ranked By Their Entrance (2024)

There is a lot that goes into making a wrestler feel like a star, with it not just being all about charisma and in-ring work. A lot of it comes down to presentation, and an entrance is a big part of that. In WWE, there have been many wrestlers with iconic entrances, some of which are better than others.

Production value of entrances has increased as time has gone on, but sometimes it can be the simpler ones which work best. When looking at former WWE Champions with the best entrances, several factors such as theme music, grandeur, spectacle, and more will be taken into account. Certain entrances just feel extra special, though ranking the best from former WWE Champions is certainly a tough task.

10 Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho just about sneaks into the top 10, battling off many other wrestlers with thrilling entrances. Jericho’s music is no doubt among the best in WWE history, but this only takes it so far.

The best part about Jericho’s entrance is at the start, where he often stood in his iconic pose and wore a light-up jacket, which was very unique. He would turn around and be greeted with pyro, and it was great. If Jericho had perhaps done more in the rest of his entrance, it would be even higher.

9 Ric Flair

Ric Flair’s entrance has always felt grander than most. His slower music and walk to the ring (with the occasional strut sprinkled in) may have been simple, but it worked with his character.

His robe is among the greatest entrance attires of all time, which helps to push him into the top 10, and the fireworks which went off behind him were excellent too. At WrestleMania 24 in particular, Flair’s entrance was among the best in the history of the show.

8 Edge

Edge’s entrance was one of the most energetic and heavy in WWE history. His iconic entrance music, the smoke and steam blasting up from the ramp, and Edge running around the stage like a maniac, always got the crowd on their feet (and still does to this day in AEW).

Whether it be as a babyface or a heel, Edge always felt like a star when he walked out, even when he was slower and more focused. After striking his pose on the ramp, one of the better pyro sets in WWE history would go off. Especially at the likes of WrestleMania, these fireworks for Edge have been stunning.

7 Roman Reigns

The switch from “The Big Dog to the “Tribal Chief” opened the door for Roman Reigns to procure one of the best entrances in recent memory. Whilst it may be slower than most, it is an entrance which gathers so much more heat than anything in WWE today, and it feels like the most important entrance on any show.

The music is dramatic, the fire and pyro are impactful, and the blue lighting and strobe effects work wonderfully. It feels like the ultimate final boss music, and it helped to elevate Reigns to an even higher level.

6 The Rock

10 Best WWE Champions, Ranked By Their Entrance (5)

The Rock’s entrance is one of the more simple mentioned here, but that is almost why it works so well. His entrance theme is, pun intended, electrifying, and it feeds energy into the crowd every time it plays.

The Rock presence is what makes this entrance so strong. The way he strolls around, taking in the audience, and then marches to the ring always brings about reactions from the crowd. The camera work when he stands in his unique way on the ropes is brilliant too.

5 Bray Wyatt

10 Best WWE Champions, Ranked By Their Entrance (6)

Bray Wyatt may have only had one WWE Championship reign, but in that reign he managed to walk out at WrestleMania as champion, showcasing his entrance on the grandest stage with the premier title in WWE.

Wyatt's various entrance themes have all been spot on, helping to make his walk to the ring even more special. Carrying his lantern and being showered with the “fireflies” in the crowd, there are few entrances which look quite as stunning as Wyatt's. Wyatt didn’t have to do too much aside from walk, with the lighting and crowd being incorporated to help make it perfect.

4 Steve Austin

The glass shattering, the crowd going into a frenzy, and his no-nonsense walk to the ring helped to make what was a very simple entrance into one of the greatest of all time.

Austin didn’t have the spectacle and grandeur of many of those mentioned on this list, but this was a case of the crowd and Austin’s gimmick fitting perfectly into it to make it better than most. Even his music isn’t all that impressive, but it worked with his quick march to the ring.

3 Shawn Michaels

Shawn Michaels’ entrance music is one of the best, and that alone earns it a place in the best 10 entrances of former WWE Champions. Michaels’ actions during his entrance make it even better though, getting on his knees in front of the pyro, and then going on to pull his pose in the ring.

At times, WWE brought pyro into the ring itself for Michaels, which made it look even more striking (though they would stop doing this so much as time went on). Michaels’ entrance always felt big time.

2 Triple H

10 Best WWE Champions, Ranked By Their Entrance (9)

Triple H’s “The Game” has so much power and intensity behind it, and it is no doubt among the most perfect fitting themes for any wrestler in WWE history. The green lighting that filled the arena was great, and every step of Triple H’s entrance was absolutely iconic in his prime.

Standing at the top of the ramp, waiting for musical cues, the spitting of the water, and all the strobe lighting made it one of the most over-the-top yet incredible entrances of all time. The lighting work, the way he worked with his music for different parts of his entrance, and more, made this one of the best (though not quite the best).

1 The Undertaker

10 Best WWE Champions, Ranked By Their Entrance (10)

Number one is no surprise, as The Undertaker might have the greatest entrance in professional wrestling history - not just amongst fellow former WWE Champions. The darkened arena, the funeral march theme, the fire and smoke, and the aura that The Undertaker managed to carry made it special each and every time he ever walked to the ring.

He possessed a larger than life aura, and his entrance really helped to elevate that. Even with thirty years in the company, The Undertaker’s entrance still remained the most iconic in the company, and it was hard to take your eyes off it.
