Graham: I am the only Christian where I work, and find it very difficult because I have little in common with them. Do you think I should look for another job? Dear A.N.: Not unless you feel definitely (after much prayer) that God would have you take another position. The fact that you are the only Christian believer where you work is not, in itself, an adequate reason to look for another job. (If your employer, however, were to ask you to do things which were clearly against your Christian principles, it would be another matter). In fact, God might want you to stay in this position for several reasons.

The most important is that you can be a witness to those around you. God loves those around you just as He loves you. Christ died for them on the cross, just as He did for you, and He wants them to come to know Him as their personal Lord and Savior. Bible says that "He is patient not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance" (2 Peter It also reminds us, "How can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?" (Romans Many of those around you might not have any real contact with a church or with other Christians, and you are their "preacher" the one who can proclaim Christ to them. Pray that god will give you a love for those with whom you have contact every day.

The apostle Paul declared, "For Christ's love compels us We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making, His appeal through Corinthians 5:14, 20). Pray also that God will give them a hunger for God, and convince them of their need of Christ. Then pray that He will help you in practical ways to be friendly and loving toward them, and trust Him to open doors for your witness. God has given you a wonderful opportunity seize it! Thevis Sentenced The Associated Press Convicted p*rnographer Michael Thevis, 48, foreground, is escorted into the Federal Courthouse in Charleston Tuesday for sentencing on charges of making false statements when purchasing firearms. Thevis received a sentence of five years to run consecutively with sentences already being served.

He already is serving a life sentence. Girl Dies In Collapse Of Apartment Building TOWANDA, Pa. (AP) A sagging apartment building collapsed into rubble and bricks Tuesday as some of its residents packed to move out, killing a 4- year-old girl and injuring a woman and three children, authorities said. The collapse came as the three families in the building prepared to vacate under orders from the building owner. He had been directed to clear the structure or repair it.

"People were tumbling out of the building when we got there," said volunteer firefighter Boyd Ackley. "The floors were like giant slides." The girl, Billie Jo Yates, was buried in the rubble and suffocated, said Bradford County Coroner Gordon Farr. Her mother, Rosemary Yates, 27, was taken to Towanda Memorial Hospital for treatment of hysteria, said hospital administrator Jon Crandall. Also taken to the hospital were Dale Johnson, 14, and Todd Johnson, 7. They were treated for scrapes and bruises, Crandall said.

Darlene Yates, 22, and Penni Elliott, 8, were treated for bruises. The front wall of the building, described as "bowed like a violin" by local resident Phil Koos, gave way about 7:30 a.m. Policeman Frank Lindsay said he had just stepped from the police station next Fire Report Anderson City and City No. 2 Fire Departments answered no calls Tuesday, but Anderson County Fire Department answered the following calls Tuesday: 1:20 p.m. Iva Station 10 answered a call to a car fire at the Chester Hanks home.

4:57 p.m. Iva Station 10 answered a call to a house fire at the Eugene Burdette home. door when a brick hit the sidewalk. "I heard 'a noise, looked up, and there were the kids and the rubble ing out of the building," Lindsay said. "I couldn't see much at first because of all the dust.

I thought a car had hit the building. Then it cleared off a bit and I could see what was happening. "The thing that amazed me was the two children falling right with the Lindsay said. "When I did hear some one yelling, it was a woman in the top floor, saying 'my kids, my kids." Firefighters used ladders to rescue people from upper floors. Building owner John T.

Wenck said his attorney had served notices on residents to move. Towanda officials had told him at the beginning of June to repair the building or demolish it, he said. Two of the three families said they had planned to move Tuesday. The building would have been empty by Thursday, Wenck said. Mrs.

Yates and her two children were packing when the building collapsed, Ackley said. Workers from the Towanda Iron Metal Works brought equipment Tuesday to tear down the rest of the building. "With the experience we've had today, I'd get the whole thing down right away," said Fire Chief Mike Miller. One family, Harold Elliott, his wife and five children, said they would move into a new apartment although most of their belongings were in the col: lapsed building. "We came out of this totally," Mrs.

Elliott said. "God was certainly watching over The Yates family was expected to relocate with relatives, and the Johnsons were staying with friends. SAVE ON PUFFS.
